We want to grow with and for our residents! Eldridge encourages the orderly subdivision and development of lands and properties with the city.

The Assistant City Administrator (ACA) acts as the City of Eldridge’s Code Enforcement Officer, Planning & Zoning liaison, and Economic Development Coordinator.

This department is responsible for developing and implementing land use regulations, zoning ordinances, and development plans in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan. The ACA is the liaison to the Planning & Zoning Commission and the Board of Adjustment and also advises and makes recommendations to the City Council on various land development proposals, such as rezoning requests, site plans, and subdivision plats. This often includes holding public meetings and hearings to gather input from residents and stakeholders on proposed developments and zoning changes.

Also responsible for Code Enforcement, the ACA is responsible for ensuring compliance with local ordinances and regulations, including but not limited to, zoning, property maintenance, and building codes. This includes investigating complaints, conducting inspections, issuing citations, and working with residents & property owners to achieve compliance.
