Construction will begin on Monday, August 4th, 2025 on an asphalt milling and paving project along S 1st Street from the high school south to the city limits. The project will be done one lane at a time, with multiple passes and layers of asphalt paving to be placed. A portion of the roadway will be limited to one lane of traffic during working hours. Flaggers will be utilized to stop and direct traffic as needed during working hours.
Business and resident access will be maintained throughout construction. There will be intermittent access delays when the contractor is working directly in front of an entrance or intersection. The access delays are expected to be in 30 mins to 1-hour increments. The contractor will coordinate, as needed, to ensure necessary access is maintained.
Construction is expected to be complete by September 4th, 2025.
